In fact, I would take the one you're currently using out too. Leopard gecko's heat "sensors" are on their belly, so they only can feel heat from the belly. If it's too hot over head, they can't feel that to know to get over to the cool side. They're also nocturnal, so regular bulbs aren't always the best idea during the day. If your temperature is too low, get a new heat mat that will cover 1/3 to 1/2 of the tank floor (if yours doesn't) , and it will be warmer. If you insist on a light, a red heat bulb (no UV or any of that expensive stuff.. And they can't see red.) over the warm hide should be okay, as long as the light isn't directly over the gecko's head.

Dilemma between one or two cats?

I'm adopting an Egyptian Mau from a breeder and was wondering if he would benefit from having another cat around. I'm thinking he would, but something concerns me about that. If I get two cats to dote on each other while im gone for the day, does that mean they wouldnt be affectionate towards me and just ignore me when im home? i know u guys are familiar with this, because i've asked questions on this issue before and i think he's even been on here asking. i've been called a troll, but i assure you that i'm not. ok to recap. my daughter is 22. when she was a senior in high school she got pregnant by this boy. at the time, she was a very straight laced girl. the boy that she got pregnant by was a pot user. well, they ended up parting ways.we have helped her raise the baby. she's will be 4 soon. well, when she was 9 months about, the bio dad stopped coming around, but before he went MIA he petitioned the court for visitiation and he got it. he eventually stopped coming around, never was at home when she had to take him the baby, never paid any child support either. he owes the state about 20k.. it was a battle. he wasn't interested, but his parents were, but we never got any child support, no cards on birthdays, or christmas. we didn't care for him, because he used to be a pot smoker, but visitation was ordered by the court, so we had to let the child see him. well, my daughter ended up with another bad boy and she got strung out on heavy drugs. she's now in rehab and the cyfd placed the baby with my husband and i, because we have helped raise her and the child is stable with us. well, we had a family meeting with the cyfd. this family went in lying, saying we denied them visits. there were times when she was sick, but WE HAD to show doctor's notes. they just stopped coming around. turned out that cyfd let us keep her. we got a lawyer and petitioned the court for guardianship. he's sueing us for custody and suing my daughter for child support... this little girl doesn't know them and WE NEVER denied them visits. I have a juvenile leopard gecko and a juvevile iguana. I am wondering where the best place is to purchase a habitat for them that will be big enough for each of them to live in when they get grown. I have seen the ones in the pet stores for my gecko that has the swing open door and was wondering if something like that is better than just a 10 gallon tank and if so, what size should I get for him. I think it is the way the question is answered that make a difference. I have seen a few of those types of questions, and although some people get pissed over nothing, others get full out ripped to shreds. So a person made a mistake and bought a cat they thought was a specific breed. Mistakes happen, and hopefully they have learned and won't make the same mistake again. Yet I see people responding to them saying things like "You are a horrible person for buying that kitten" or "Shame on you", etc. I think it is this that makes those people defensive. I know this isn't the case for every situation, however it does happen quite frequently. Maybe some people should try to be a little bit nicer in their answers and offer advice instead of bashing the person? These are just my thoughts based on my observations!

Help with my car insurance costs!?

As of January of this year, I was laid off of work, and haven't found work since, constantly applying and everything. I finally found a job, though seasonal, but pays very good, and is 40 hours a week. Just remember they need a high fiber low protein diet. Carrots are ok, brocolli is bad. Fruits should only be used as a treat. No citrus! When they are babies, hydration is critical and sometimes a luke warm soaking is needed once a day. Just soak them for a few minutes in a very shallow bowl.

HELP with rat cages please?

No. I have 2 rats (5 rats total in the past) and have done tons of research. Besides the hamster cage having a tank, it is too small. Even most commercial rat cages you see too small, including that one you posted from petco. I am planning to make a rat cage out of a pvc pipe storage shelf, if you are creative you can do this too. It will cost around $60-$80. I'm not sure if you know this yet or not but rats need to be in pairs, so that is why you need such a big space.

Found 2 baby twin sandhill cranes and need these question answered!!!?

Me and my sister found 2 twin baby sandhill cranes today they looked about a week or so old. Where they came from was a field that got tilde yesterday so we are guessing there habitat got ruined and they got separated from there mother. We were going to just leave them be but we got scared cause we have a lot of big dogs around the neighbor hood so we decided to catch them (with care of course) and call a wildlife center. They told us to bring them in so we drove 30 miles in rush hour traffic to bring them in and when we got there they asked us if we could possibly bring them back if there are still cranes around (we heard only one when we got the babies so it was a 50/50 chance) so doing anything for these babies we decided to bring them back and let them go where they came from and just hope for the best!! We are going to check on them tomorrow and see if they made it or not ( i sure hope they make it and are okay) but my main question is what are some reasons that baby sandhill cranes leave there mothers and run around?? Do you think we did the right thing about bringing them back or should we have left them at the wildlife center?? I only want whats best for those cute little birds!!! A question about dragon elements?

So I've been playing with the idea of a book from the point of view of dragons for years now. The dragons have many different elements, and generally each element lives in a habitat suited to it. Well you'll be a very good applicant for both UCLA and UCSD, you'll probably get into UCSD, its a little easier to get into(but really competitive still) and with your stats, I would say you'll get in. UCLA on the other hand is harder to get into but you seem like you could get in, although really with both of these universities your more than qualified although at the same time a lot of other people are too, so it can go either way there no definite here. Although what I can say for sure is that you'll without a doubt get into multiple of the other UCs, and you have a very good shot at UCLA and UCSD. With you SAT, if you can take it again in the fall although depending on the time when your submitting your application, you might not have your scores back/ready because the next test date is October 1st, I would say take it again see how you do,you aren't too far from a 2000.

UTI and antibiotic side affects.?

I have had a UTI for a week, and yesterday I went to the CVS Minute Clinic (I do not have insurance). I was prescribed SMZ/TMP 800-160 Tab as an antibiotic. After taking two doses of this, I have had extreme chills, then extreme sweating, a slightly high fever (100.4), and a TERRIBLE headache. I called the NA at the Minute Clinic back and she has changed my antibiotics, but I am worried that I have a kidney infection. She told me to take the new antibiotic and see if things are better within 3 days. I can't afford to go to a real doctors office, and I owe quite a bit to the ER... they probably won't even see me. I just signed a lease for a condo and found out that the landlord owes three years in back taxes. What do I do?

I signed the lease on May,16 and was promised the carpets were to be cleaned or replaced. They tried three times cleaning and then finally told me if the last attempt didn't work they would replace. Direct TV stole my money! Who can I contact?

We were late on Direct TV and they decided to take money out of every account we ever used without our authorization, and bounced 2 checks in the process. I put in a dispute with the bank, and they credited the account back temporarily. Then I called Direct TV, they confirmed the charges were reversed, and I paid the account in full, including the money they took out without our permission. Then a week later they charged the same account again, which again resulted in an overdraft fee and another charge. I DIDN'T OWE THEM ANY MONEY! Now they refuse to credit my account back the $35 until I show them my bank statements (which means give them my account numbers so they can take money again?). One lady (a supposed supervisor) told me we have a balance due next week, so they can take it if they want to! Anyone know of who I could contact for this (government agency, etc.)? I already tried the bank and they pretty much told me since we have an active account and it isn't free, they can take as much money as they want. Something really isn't right here. I already know the BBB, but their rating is already a D with thousands of unresolved complaints. Any other ideas? By the way, it is not the $35 I am fighting about. I'm not sure if having your husband co-sign is gonna help get the loan approved. I mean, think about it, from their point of view, he's a part owner, and has been irresponsible in the past. Baby Leopard Gecko death?

I got a baby leopard gecko from a pet store about a month ago. He was perfectly healthy when we got him. On tuesday I fed him about 3 crickets before bed. When I woke up, none of them had been eaten. I left them in thinking he would be hungry a little later. Then yesterday (thursday) I cleaned his cage for the first time, and none of them had been eaten again. I put them back in their feeder cage thingy, and put my lizard in a tupperware container with paper towels on the bottom and a small hide. I only used hose water to clean the habitat. Then I dried the habitat, put the heating pad, water bowl (full of hose water), and branch back in his cage, and placed him back in. While he was in the tupperware container, he had very green and watery stool. When I placed him back in the cage I noticed he was very sluggish. I woke up today and he had moved to the opposite side of the cage and was not breathing. Then when I touched him he didnt move, and I picked him up and he flipped over. So he's dead now. Do you think it was anything I did wrong, did he die of shock, or was it just the circle of life? No rude comments please, I'm still crying over his death. He was my first reptile. And yes I did read up on leopard geckos before I purchased him.

Family problems... that I have tried fixing, believe me, what do I do?

My mother is needy, lonely, and emotionally abusive. I think she has some sort of mental problem from getting emotionally abused most of her life (by her own mother) and from getting physically abused by two of her lovers. One of them was my father (they are divorced now and have been for about 8 years, but they were together for about 15 years) and the other one banged her head against a door jam and it may have done damage to her brain, the reason why he did this was because she told him that she thought he was cheating on her. It was quite obvious that he was though, because he dropped hints all the time and even I noticed it. The men that were physically abusive are long gone out of her life now though. The problem right now is, she is still talking to her emotionally abusive family. She almost has to because we are running out of money and she owes a lot to credit cards, and she's also trying to get her taxes done for my big sister's college tuition money so she can complete college and become a Biology teacher. The reason why she has to keep in touch with this abusive family is because her mother is dying from cancer, and she has put my mother on a trust. My mother also can't get a job easily because she is older (54 years old) and we live in the country in the middle of nowhere and can't afford to drive far away to work. She is trying out this internet business thing, and she also just recently patented two inventions that may become very popular. The thing is, I will be going off to college in 2 years. I used to want to go to college in North Carolina or South Carolina. She wanted to come with me. But now I have made my final decision and want to go college in Masssachusetts. I have told her where I want to go and now she wants to follow me there too. But I don't want her to follow me, I want space. Because from getting abused most of her life, she is also abusive. And she also has a pretty bad Bipolar disorder, which she denies having and refuses to see a therapist or go on medication to help it. But she has been emotionally abusing me ever since my sister moved out to go to college. But when my sister was living here, it was her that she was emotionally abusing and buttering me up. But now it's the opposite. She favors my sister and acts like she misses her so much and acts like I'm a piece of ****. She has called me a ***** much more than I can count. I have done nothing wrong to her, and neither one of me or my sister deserves this. But she wants to live with both of us, and neither of us want that. In all honesty no. You elbows should be more parallel to eachother otherwise you're leaving open to some lethal uppercuts. Plus you don't always have to keep your hands all the way close to your face because then it is difficult to get punches off unless you have naturally quick hands. You want to keep your hands up to point where there close enough to move and around your face depending on the punch your opponent throws. Plus you don't only want to work on your hands. The other 50% of boxing is footwork and hip movement it will help out in avoiding most punches so you can work your way on the inside. Just be sure to keep your guard up enough to where you can move your'e hands around fluidily. But from what I can see, and I'm not trying to disrespect you but you got a lot of improvements to make. It seems like you're forcing yourself to keep your hands in that position.

can the bailbondsman put him back in jail? He went to court and got everything taken care of but he failed to pay the remaining 75.00 that was owed to the bail bondsman. Ways to keep fleas to a minimum. ?

I have fleas in my house. Not very many adults from what I see. I vacuum as much as I can and I made an apple cider vinegar spray to spray on the 2 ferrets 2 cats and the habitat.I also wash the fuzzies with flea shampoo. The number is (856) 823-0398 and (253) 363-9006. The 253 number when called back asks if I want my number removed from their call list which seems a little suspicious to me. Also I checked my bank statements for the date I supposedly received the money and there is no indication of a transfer of any money or direct deposit for the date in ? Or 2 months prior and after as well. I never received email or mail notifications to pay back this company. Hello, so I recently (almost 2 months in July 9) got a job at a toy company. I was hired as a Day Porter at this toy company. But I was hired by a facility services company, not the toy company. I was never asked to fill out an application, nothing. They didn't even know y name, phone number, address, NOTHING. They hired me, gave me a job. I accepted because it was my cousins wife's job, so I thought it would be safe. When it came time to pay me (Monthly btw) I was told by the "manager" that I wouldn't be payed until the 26th of June. (I started working may 9 2011) and I was expecting them to pay me May 9 2011- June 26th. That's what the guy told me. When he payed me (gave me a personal check that was labeled House Cleaning Services) I was ONLY payed for the month of may. Turns out they were going to pay me a month behind. meaning they'd owe me a month every month. I didn't like that so I complained and they accused and threatened me. they said "We know you're an illegal immigrant." They insulted me, told me that I was going to fix everything (since I complained to the toy company, I didn't think it was fair that that's toy company was paying the facility service company to hire employees and pay them). Turns out EVERY janitor/day porter is an illegal immigrant. Not me. Even the manager guy who gives out these personal checks. The facility service company contacted me and told me to fix this and basically apologize. They said they knew I was illegal (im not btw wtf) and that I wouldn't want to get involved with homeland security and ice. My question is, is this legal? supposedly the facility company hired sub contractors. Is it legal to know your employees are illegal and still pay them? HELP!
