Is land fragmentation bad URGENT ?!?!?

Wildlife needs shelter, food, and water. Fragmenting a block of open land either removes one or more of these factors or, at best, forces the animals to cross roads to get to them. That's why urban planners who favor building rarely show roads on the maps they present to the public or the municipalities.
