How to stop my cat from chewing on wires?

My cat has already chewed through 5 iPhone syncing cables ($20 each) and today has chewed through the cable of a pair of headsets ($400). I need an immediate solution! Oh, and my cat is a fourth month old rare Silver Egyptian Mau. HELP!
